Leadership Development Institute Intensive Schedule
The intensive portion of the 2020 Leadership Development Institute includes a series of
interactive, small group discussion activities specifically designed to facilitate Ambassador
self-expression and development.  On Thursday evening Ambassadors and parent/guardians
participate in a networking reception.  Participants in the reception include professionals in law
and law enforcement, service, business, education, health/medicine and more.  Ambassadors
may visit multiple "break-out rooms" to ask specific questions about their field of interest and
future plans.  There are also sessions designed for parents/guardians related to facilitating
academic success and navigating the secondary education environment.  The intensive portion
provides opportunity for all Ambassadors to present their unique Leadership Development Action
Plans developed during the weeks leading up to the intensive portion.
In response to the Covid 19 pandemic, the 2020 Leadership Development Institute is entirely
web-based.  The Institute starts with a series of weekly interactive workshops that include the
completion of independent development activities.  Ambassadors will have the opportunity to
improve their writing, explore their unique learning styles, and better understand critical
leadership tenets.  The intensive portion occurs over three consecutive days and features a
series of scenario-based small group discussions, Ambassador presentations, team building
exercises, and more, all designed to facilitate personal and leadership development.
